Western Australia Squid Fishing Overview

TheDepartment of Fisheries has restrictions on the bag limit for Squid, cuttlefish and octopus which are combined together with a daily bag limit of 15 and a daily boat limit of 30.

You need a recreational fishing licence for these types of fishing within Western Australia:

    • Squid, cuttlefish and octopus (combined)
    • Minimum legal length: No minimum legal length
    • Daily bag limit: total limit of 15
    • Daily boat limit: total limit of 30
